After having hair extensions applied using the micro ring method, I was deeply upset when they were removed to?
After having hair extensions applied using the micro ring method, I was deeply upset when they were removed to find that when the extensions had been blended in, that my own hair had been thinned out (quite a lot) and I now have really thin hair.. its awful!
Can anyone advise if this is normally the case when having extensions in as I wanted them in to give my own hair a chance to grow. Contemplating having more put in as I can’t deal with how little hair I have left. Does anyone know if the micro ring method is the least damaging in comparison to the keratin or bonded methods (as these use glue, chemicals)
Its not that I was used to thicker hair, it was thicker but my natural hair is at least 50% thinner than it was before and this is due to the fact it muct have been thinned out whent he fitter was blending the extensions, I thought only the extensios would be cut and hadn’t realised my own hair would be as well
Well, extensions are notorious for thinner her after removing them..because:
1) you got used to feeling and looking in a certain way, with thinner hair that u got used to its feel and style, so to lose that makes u think that ur hair is thinner, as ur head feels lighter.. in truth its not necessarily true,
2) extensions, all extensions do a certain level of damage to the scalp.. now its not enough damage to be bold forever, but u might have thinner patches where the extensions were until hair grows.
best thing to do is to let it grow and to get on with it..before u know it itll be grown out.
